“Until such time as lions have their own storytellers,
hunting stories will continue to glorify the hunters”.

In the dazzling city of Dakar, coastal youth in search of emancipation have found their
escape in surfing. Grouped into rival gangs, each village defends its beach and its wave.

Friction is rife, particularly between Souleymane from the Ouakam gang, Djibril and Aya
from the N'Gor gang and Ali, the son of a wealthy goods importer from the downtown
gang.

For 24 hours, as an exceptional swell approaches, their destinies will intersect and
sometimes collide. Between rivalries, jealousies and betrayals, the lives of Djibril, Aya,
Ali and Souleymane will be turned upside down. For the swell that arrives in Dakar will
rekindle the tensions but also the hopes of an entire generation.

This wave, this current, this hope, is called the Black Swell.
